SPONSOR EMMA

8 year old Emma was only 6 when she first came to SSS, after being pulled from the Harris County Animal Shelter during Thanksgiving 2019. She was tied outside the shelter all night. In the shelter, Emma did not look at anyone, and was depressed beyond belief. She had no chance of being adopted, and was set for euthanasia when Save Some Souls pulled her. Emma has been with us for a year and a half, and currently has to be kept on prozac to get over her depression.

Emma is currently in a great foster home and started to go outside, when no one is watching.

We have spayed her, and kept her updated with her shots.

But our vet has asked us to take her to a behaviorist to help with her case, so she can get over her fear and depression.

If you wish to Sponsor Emma's monthly heartworm preventative, flea preventative and prozac, or if you wish to donate towards her behaviorist visit, please do so via paypal.

Save Some Souls is a 501c3 non profit organization, therefore all donations are 100% tax deductible. Also, 100% of your donation is used towards vetting, boarding, and care for the animals in our rescue.

We are committed to the rescue and rehab of Belgian Malinois, German Shepherds, and other black dogs from the streets and shelters.

Once rehabbed, we adopt them out to New England and Pacific Northwest, where they find the love that Houston fails to provide these beautiful, loyal souls.

Several of our pups are heartworm positive. The treatment of a heartworm disease ranges from $300 - $800 depending on the weight of the dog.

We definitely need help with donations that can be used for heartworm treatment of our dogs.

We also have several puppies who need puppy vaccination, stay longer in foster care until they are old enough to be sterilized before they can go to their forever homes.  Any help with their food and vetting will be highly appreciated.

How your donations is used :

When we get a dog off the street, we have to vaccinate them completely. Each vaccination costs $18-$20 per shot making it $50 - $70

We do bordetella, distemper-parvo, lepto (in some states), rabies.

Dewormers can range from $10 - $30 depending on the weight of the dog.

Heartworm preventation : $7 - $10

Flea Tick preventative : $10

Heartworm Test : $25

Parvo Test for puppies : $25

Fecal test for coccidia and giardia for puppies : $22

If a dog is heartworm positive, or otherwise sick or injured, then it's another additional cost.

When we have to take in a dog without a foster home, our boarding fees are $15 per day.

Sometimes, fosters may take a dog but the dog is not compatible. Some fosters immediately drop them off to boarding, and we incur additional costs.

Not all dogs are immediately adoptable. So some of these expenses like heartworm and flea preventatives, food and boarding costs may be recurring.

Thank you for your generosity because your donation allows us to treat our dogs properly without having to make compromises, and helps us hold them with us, until the best forever home is found for them.
